Survivor Northeastern

Survivor Northeastern is a club on campus that recruits, plans, films, and edits a reality show to simulate the CBS show Survivor. I am a member of the Executive Board through my role as Head of Challenge Design. Along with my fellow Head of Challenge Design, I organized a design committee that created 15 exciting challenges that replicate the show CBS Survivor. I am particularly proud of the player excitement and production member retention I have developed through introducing engineering skills to this role which has never been seen before. Challenge #1: Scavenge Around Saturn

This challenge is a scavenger hunt across Northeastern's campus to obtain puzzle pieces. The first tribe to correctly solve the puzzle and uncover the phrase, wins!

Challenge #2: Guide and Seek

This is an object memorization challenge. Players must memorize the order of 6-10 items and correctly recreate it at their own station to win a point for their tribe. First tribe to 7 points wins!

Challenge #3: Escape Room

This is an Escape Room style challenge. Each tribe is "locked" in a room and must complete a series of tasks and puzzle to find the correct code to a combination lock. The first tribe to open the lock and escape their room wins!

Challenge #4: Don't Rock the Rocket

For this challenge, players from opposing tribes will compete 1v1 to attempt to knock of the totem for their platform. The last person to have their totem hit the ground wins a point for their tribe. The first tribe to 8 points wins!

Challenge #5: BattleBack

All previously voted out players compete in an individual challenge to win their way back into the game! Players must balance a ball on their cylinder while it gets longer and longer. If the ball falls from the cylinder, than that player is out. Last player remaining wins and returns to the game!

Challenge #6: Hot Walks on Mercury

This is a 2-part challenge. The first leg is a race across campus. The winners in that leg compete against each other to solve a puzzle in the shape of a flame. The first player to solve their puzzle wins!

Challenge #7: Stack to Space

For this challenge, players must use a stacking apparatus to create a tower, alternating from a plastic cylinder to a wooden ball. The first player to stack their 5th cylinder without their tower falling wins!

Challenge #8: Articulate the Alien

In this challenge, players are blindfolded. They must use their sense of a touch to articulate the face of an alien. Then, players must find their way across the room to recreate the alien face. The first player to successfully solve the puzzle wins!
