Memorize Mars

Challenge Description:

Distinct items will be arranged and hidden behind a curtain. When a round starts, the curtain will drop, and players will memorize the items and their order/position. Once the first member starts to head back to recreate the items, the curtain will rise up and all players must run back to recreate the items. Players can only have 1 check per round, and if no tribe correctly recreates the image, then we will reset with the same players and the same items. The first tribe to correctly recreate the image will win a point, first tribe to score 7 points wins immunity. Check out the document below for a more detailed explanation.

Skills Learned:

3D Printing, Product Design, SolidWorks

3D Printed Items

Using SolidWorks, I designed 7 distinct space-related items for the challenge. This challenge is difficult enough with the number of objects players must memorize in a timely fashion. Because of this, I knew that each item must be easily distinguishable. I printed a variety of different space-related shapes in different sizes. In addition, I used three different colored filaments to further differentiate. The other constraint I had to consider was ensuring each item was self-supporting, so they would not roll off the table when players attempted to recreate the layout. I designed flat surfaces for each item to do so.
